Inspiring Drone Video Highlights JULIE’s Safe Digging Efforts Across Illinois
JULIE, Illinois’ free notification service to prevent underground utility line damage, was celebrating a milestone anniversary and looking for a memorable way to promote its 50 years of service. As the non-profit’s marketing partner, Stevens & Tate Marketing brainstormed a video concept to instill pride in JULIE, its members and utility companies for their contributions to safe digging practices across the state.
In the sweeping video titled “Protecting The People In The Land Of Lincoln,” drone footage taken across the state captured the various landscapes JULIE helps safeguard—farms, rural communities, suburbs, and cities—the places where Illinois residents live, work and play. Messaging emphasized the organization’s legacy and how prioritizing safe digging minimizes interruptions to critical services like electricity, natural gas, water, communications, Internet, fiber optics, and more. By crafting a piece that brought together panoramic views and a strong yet comforting voice over, the video not only reinforced JULIE’s role as the foundation for safe digging in Illinois, but also illustrated the organization’s evolution into a leader in utility line damage prevention and safety awareness.
